The Portable is the new library for Native Instruments Kontakt created from a classic portable Japanese keyboard of the late ’80’s. We took the FM generated range of sounds to a new musical level, making The Portable a great retro alternative yet cinematic resource of synth sounds.
The Portable is an ideal tool for creating retrowave flavoured synthetic sounds, from classic synth brass to modern and alternative pads and textures. It’s also a great compendium to any style of music, including Retro and Modern Electronica, Synthpop, Wave, Hip Hop, Film Music and Ambient.
Sounds are divided into three main categories: Original sounds (the original generated sounds), Snapshots (designed presets) and Sequences (A selection of sequences, including editable Step Bender)
With its usable interface and a selected array of controls and effects The Portable allows the customization and creation of an unlimited range of inspiring sounds. Controls include a Luminance control with over 20 impulses and a Rhythmizer for additional modulation. It also includes a Step Bender for the creation of custom sequences.

Handrums is our new library featuring a wide selection of Drum Instruments released playing drums with hands, fingers and other body parts. As a result we obtained a drum sound with a marked raw and tribal character.
Handrums features two kicks, a snare, two low toms, two mid toms and one small tom. All multivelocity and with round-robins (up to five round robins). Depending on the kit part we used one single hand, two hands, fingers, elbow to get a complete sound menu. Also we added a nice selection of rolls and flames as a bonus.
Handrums is perfect for adding lively percussive sounds and drumming to a really wide range of styles, including Pop, Rock, Rnb, Hip Hop, and Cinematic/Action.

Indie Dobro is our new library featuring authentic sounding Resonator Guitar captured with its full raw and unpolished character. Indie Dobro features fully playable patterns, sustained notes and double stops, slide-to-note, harmonics, bottleneck single tones and chords plus a nice selection of body hits and bottleneck noises.
Indie Dobro is ideal for adding that folk tone to a wide range of musical styles, including pop, rock, folk, cinematic.

South is the new library featuring authentic Folk Percussive Sequences and Individual Percussion Instruments directly taken from Southern Italian Tradition.
Several tambourine sizes and types used, including traditional Tammorra, Pizzica and even a custom Tar. All loops are tempo synced. Individual sustained instruments are multisampled and have multiple round robins. Additional rolls and effects are included.
Instruments used:
- A Big tambourine, which is about 45 cm diameter with rings
- A custom Tar, which is 30 centimeters diameter with no rings
- A traditional Big Tammorra, handmade, 45 cm diameter made of sheep skin with large rings (not included in the sustained patches due to the inner nature of the rings)
- A second traditional Big Tammorra, 45 cm diameter with small rings.
South is the perfect tool for adding that ethnic percussive athmosphere to several music styles, ranging from Cinematic/Score to Pop/RnB/Hip Hop.

Indie Bouzouki captures the autenthic feel of an Irish Bouzouki, played with plectrum. The brilliant and evocative tone makes it perfect for adding a folk flavour to any musical style, from Rock to Pop and Cinematic.
Indie Bouzouki includes fully payable patterns patches (straight and triplets feel), sustained tones, round robin patches, hammer-ons, chords and noises/effects.
Indie Bouzouki is one of those small little helper libraries that I will always use, sometimes as a main voice, and sometimes as a layering tool – Film and Game Composers

MBD (Marching Bass Drums) is the new library featuring an accurately sampled marching bass drums. Eight different mallet striking techniques and two rolls, recorded each with round robins. The library features a main set and five designed patches with film scoring in mind.
The libraries features three separate mixable microphones Close, Overhead and Room, offering maximum flexibility, from way “roomy” to extremely dry.
